Sexual Harassment Prevention Statement
Sexual Harassment is unlawful under the Equality Act 2010 (The Act). It is also unlawful to treat someone less favourably because they have either submitted a complaint of sexual harassment or have rejected such behaviour.
Under The Act, sexual harassment is defined as occurring when a person engages in unwanted conduct of a sexual nature that has the purpose effect of:
- Violating someone’s dignity, or
- Creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment for them.
ResourceBank is committed to fostering a workplace which is safe, harmonious and respectful which includes a zero tolerance approach to sexual harassment.
Our policy sets out ResourceBank’s expectation of behaviour by all employees, consultants, self-employed contractors, agency workers and all third parties such as clients, candidates and suppliers and provides approaches for dealing with complaints of sexual harassment.
ResourceBank will treat all incidents seriously and promptly investigate all allegations of sexual harassment.
Our policy is intended to protect all those who work for or with ResourceBank from any form of inappropriate sexual behaviour.
Our risk assessment has identified any areas where workers could be at higher risk of sexual harassment and we have put preventative measures in place to minimise the risk.
