Taking place during one of the hottest June days ever recorded in the UK, the soaring temperatures certainly didn’t dampen spirits. Guests filled the hospitality marquee, sponsors welcomed clients and partners, and the players delivered an outstanding day of fast-paced rugby despite the challenging conditions.

The event continues to grow in both reputation and impact, combining elite sport with business networking and fundraising.
British Army reclaim the title
On the pitch, congratulations go to the British Army Rugby 7s, who reclaimed the title after previously lifting the trophy in 2024. Their performances capped another fantastic year for British Rugby Sevens, with every team contributing to a memorable tournament
Record attendance raises over £50,000
Off the pitch, the event reached another major milestone. Record hospitality attendance, together with the outstanding support of sponsors, table hosts, volunteers and guests, helped generate more than £50,000. The proceeds are shared between local good causes and national charities.

To see more than 700 guests supporting the event on one of the hottest days of the year was incredible. The atmosphere throughout the day was fantastic, and the standard of rugby was exceptional. A huge thank you also goes to Newport Rugby Club, the volunteers, officials and every team that helped make the day such a success.
