In 2016 Coats, the world’s leading industrial thread manufacturing business, had sites in more than 50 countries and a total workforce of nearly 20,000. However, talent attraction was decentralised with no management system to improve the function. Recruitment agency spend was high and satisfaction was low.
ResourceBank implemented a dedicated executive-level RPO with a small on-site team and the adoption of Avature to provide co-ordination of information globally.
We created a bespoke careers website to increase awareness and engagement of the Coats brand which integrated with a branded careers portal advertising all executive and management positions within the Coats group globally.
A hiring manager portal was developed in 4 languages including English, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Spanish (used in Mexico). In person training was delivered in Shenzhen China, HMC Vietnam and Lahore India, along with the UK training, by the ResourceBank Avature specialist.
Over the five-year contract, over 140 executive-level candidates were recruited in more than 20 countries including the UK, USA, France, Germany, Romania, Turkey, Vietnam, Mexico, Singapore, India, China, Spain, Korea, Honduras, Pakistan, Sweden. Cost saving versus agency spend was estimated at £1.4 million.
