The partnership officially launched this week with a celebration lunch at ResourceBank’s Telford office, marking the beginning of an exciting collaboration focused on improving recruitment outcomes and enhancing candidate experience across Gist’s UK and Ireland operations.
A Trusted Partner to Deliver Change
Gist is a long-established logistics business that has been transforming supply chains since 1961. Now employing nearly 6,000 people across more than 20 sites, Gist plays a vital role in ensuring M&S Food reaches customers whenever, wherever, however they shop.
As part of its continued growth and transformation, Gist has partnered with ResourceBank to strengthen its recruitment capability and deliver a more efficient, technology-led candidate experience.
The new partnership will see ResourceBank work closely with the internal recruitment team to support hiring across both the Primary (end-to-end distribution for retailers and manufacturers) and Retail (warehouse to store) operations.
Current focus areas include recruiting Warehouse Operatives and Class 1 Drivers across key locations such as Crewe, Spalding and Enfield, with the service spanning all Gist sites in the UK and Ireland.
Building Better Recruitment Together
Through the partnership, ResourceBank will provide dedicated recruitment delivery alongside integrated technology, analytics and candidate engagement support — helping Gist attract, hire, and retain great people in a competitive market.
The shared objectives include:
- Improving candidate quality and developing long-term talent pools
- Enhancing candidate and hiring manager experience
- Sharing recruitment best practice and process innovation
- Supporting business peaks through flexible resourcing
- Providing real-time data, MI and performance insights
- Reducing reliance on agency labour and improving retention
