The ResourceBank team will once again be marking Blue Monday, often described as the most challenging Monday of the year, with a charity fundraising challenge aimed at turning the day into something positive.
The challenge will take place on Monday, 19 January, with the team swapping laptops for dartboards and aiming to score a collective 120,000 points, reflecting the 120,000 placements ResourceBank has made since our incorporation in 1995.
Bullseyes and maximums to support charity
While we’re not expecting any perfect 9-dart finishes, we’re hopeful for the occasional 180 or bullseye along the way.
All funds raised during the challenge will support Action Medical Research, with ResourceBank donating:
• £180 for every 180 scored
• £50 for every bullseye
Clients and contacts are also invited to nominate a charity to receive one of these donations or to sponsor a number as part of the challenge.
A long-standing Blue Monday tradition at ResourceBank
ResourceBank has marked Blue Monday with ambitious team charity challenges since 2022, using the day as an opportunity to focus on wellbeing, connection and giving back.
Previous Blue Monday challenges have included:
Each year, the focus has remained consistent: bringing people together, supporting worthwhile causes and encouraging open conversations around wellbeing during what can be a difficult time of year.
This year’s Blue Monday challenge also forms part of ResourceBank’s 30th anniversary celebrations, which continue into 2026 and focus on giving back, partnership and supporting causes that matter to the wider ResourceBank community.
At ResourceBank, we believe that small, collective actions can make a meaningful difference, especially when it comes to wellbeing. By coming together on Blue Monday, we hope to raise funds, lift spirits and start conversations about the importance of supporting mental health at work and beyond.
