The 2026 challenge saw colleagues swap laptops for dartboards, aiming to score 120,000 points to reflect the 120,000 placements ResourceBank has made over the years. Thanks to a fantastic team effort, the target was reached well ahead of time.
In total, the team scored an impressive 30 bullseyes, each triggering a £50 donation, resulting in the £1,500 contribution to Action Medical Research, a charity funding vital research to improve the health of babies and children across the UK.
Fancy dress, friendly competition and teamwork
Adding to the atmosphere, the team fully embraced the spirit of the day by taking part in fancy dress, with outfits ranging from bananas, cricketers and cowboys to nuns, scousers and witches. The light-hearted competition helped create a sense of togetherness and ensured that Blue Monday definitely didn’t feel very blue at ResourceBank.
Alongside the fundraising, several friendly competitions took place throughout the day, recognising individual achievements and adding to the team spirit.
A long-standing Blue Monday tradition

At ResourceBank, we believe that small, collective actions can make a meaningful difference, especially when it comes to wellbeing. By coming together on Blue Monday, the team once again showed how shared purpose and a bit of fun can help lift spirits while supporting an important cause.
